Diesel Heater Spare Parts Guide: Fuel Pumps, Silencers, Filters & More

Diesel Heater Spare Parts Guide: Fuel Pumps, Silencers, Filters & More

SUNSTER / PARTS & MAINTENANCE

Small parts.
A better-prepared heating setup.

Whether you are preparing for an RV trip or maintaining a workshop heater, the right replacement parts make planning easier. Explore fuel pumps, exhaust silencers, fuel-line components, warm-air ducting, glow plug kits and sensors, starting with a bag to keep everything organized.

Some items are service parts; others are installation accessories or optional replacements. They do not all need replacing on a fixed schedule. Inspect and service your heater according to its manual.

Before you choose

Match the exact heater model, voltage, original part specification, connector and dimensions, not just its kW label. Diagnose faults before replacing parts; never bypass sensors or change fuel settings to make an unsuitable component work.

A239 accessory storage bag

A239 / A place for small spares

The portable A239 keeps heater tools, accessories and small parts together for camping, RV travel and maintenance. It is an accessory bag, not a promise that a complete heater or every part in this guide will fit inside.

Pack cool, clean and dry items only. Keep fuel and fuel-contaminated components out of the bag.

01 / FUEL DELIVERY

Fuel Pumps, Matched to Your Heater

The pump meters diesel into the heater. Low-noise versions are intended to reduce ticking compared with conventional designs, but “silent” does not mean inaudible. Mounting also affects sound; no quantified noise reduction is claimed here.

2kW configurations
16ml
1kW configurations

Starting guide for the corresponding Sunster configurations only. Confirm the original pump and heater specification. The ml labels identify pump specifications, not consumption per hour. Different capacities are not automatic upgrades; a 28ml pump should only replace a pump specified for that capacity.

A612 fuel pump

A612 Standard Pump

12V / 22ml. Conventional replacement when the original specification matches.

02 / EXHAUST NOISE

Four Silencer Ranges. One Clear Comparison.

A silencer addresses exhaust noise, not fuel-pump ticking. It does not make exhaust gases safe to breathe. Select the connection size, geometry and exhaust configuration permitted by your heater manual.

FEATURED NEW ADDITION

RP11 / RPS11

Our featured premium option: a listed 24mm connection, high-temperature-resistant construction and long or short style options. Measure your installation space before selecting.

Color supplied randomly. No comparative test is provided here to rank it as the quietest.

A887 silencer

A887 / 24mm

Aluminum alloy. Outdoor installation recommended, drain-hole side downward.

RP02 silencer

RP02 / 23mm

Aluminum alloy. Do not assume 24mm-system compatibility. Follow outdoor and drainage instructions.

A795 exhaust hose

A795 / Complete the Exhaust Route

Stainless steel hose in 0.6m, 1m, 1.5m, 2m or 3m lengths. The description specifies a 25mm pipe, so check mating dimensions instead of assuming a direct fit with every silencer. Use only a length and route permitted for your heater.

03 / FUEL FILTRATION

Refresh the Fuel-Line Essentials

A fuel filter helps keep particles out of the fuel delivery path. Inspect filters, hoses and connections and replace damaged or restricted parts as instructed. Intake-air filters serve a different circuit and cannot substitute for a diesel fuel filter.

A788 fuel line kit

A788 / 17-Piece Fuel-Line Kit

One fuel line, five connection hoses, ten hose clips and one transparent plastic diesel fuel filter. A coordinated option when more than the filter needs renewing.

Check hose sizes, routing and fuel-system compatibility before replacing the assembly.

04 / WARM-AIR DELIVERY

Route the Warmth Where You Need It

Choose the correct duct diameter and avoid restricted airflow. Warm-air ducting and plastic connectors must never be used for combustion exhaust. Maximum extended duct length is not a recommended length for every heater.

A210 duct

A210 / 75mm

Up to 210cm extended. Verify diameter and permitted routing.

A755 duct

A755 / 75mm

Up to 500cm extended. Follow the heater's airflow requirements.

Maintain the heater's required airflow. Do not close outlets in a way that violates its instructions.

05 / IGNITION

Choose the Right Glow Plug Kit

The glow plug supplies ignition heat. Repair kits may combine a plug with sealing or installation parts; review the exact package. A failed start alone does not prove the glow plug needs replacing.

12V 24V repair kit

Match the Voltage

Separate 12V and 24V variants. Match the actual component and heater specification; never substitute the wrong voltage.

Heater-specific glow plug kit

Match the Heater Configuration

This 12V kit is available in 2kW and 5kW variants. Select the version that matches your heater's configuration.

View Heater-Specific Kits

Disconnect the supply and let the heater cool before service. Combustion repairs and resealing require a suitably qualified technician following model-specific instructions.

06 / SENSING & CONTROL

Air-Heater & Liquid-Heater Sensors

Match function, connector, electrical characteristics and mounting. Air-heater and liquid-heater sensors are not interchangeable simply because both measure temperature. Never bypass a sensor to suppress a fault.

A233 temperature sensor

A233 / Air-Heater Sensor

Square-connector temperature sensor listed for compatible 2kW/5kW/8kW air heaters. Match the original sensor and control board, not the connector shape alone.

Liquid heater sensor options

Liquid-Heater Sensors

For compatible LQ1 and LQ-4G models. Three separately sold options:

Water: water-temperature feedback.
Case: casing-temperature monitoring.
Flame: combustion-status feedback.

Choose the required sensor; one option is not a three-sensor bundle.

A Kit for Your Heater, Not Every Heater

Start with the A239 bag and the service parts specified for your own model. Record the heater model, voltage, pump specification and duct sizes before shopping. Keep the manual with your equipment, and choose replacements based on diagnosis and compatibility rather than replacing every component at once.
