Sunster 3-in-1 Smart Remotes: Meet the R2605, R2603 and A2422

Sunster 3-in-1 Smart Remotes: Meet the R2605, R2603 and A2422

Three models. Three core functions. More convenient heater control.

A diesel heater remote can do more than turn the heat on and off.

The Sunster R2605, R2603 and A2422 combine three core functions in one wireless remote: a built-in temperature sensor, carbon monoxide monitoring and heater control.

All three models offer the same core functionality. Rather than choosing between different feature levels, the important step is confirming which remote is compatible with your heater and control panel.

01 / Wireless Thermostat

Measure the temperature where you are

The temperature near your heater may not be the temperature you feel in your living space.

With a temperature sensor built into the remote, these models measure the ambient temperature around the remote rather than relying only on a reading at the heater.

When paired with a compatible heater and used in the appropriate thermostat mode, the remote allows the heater to cycle on and off to maintain your selected temperature.

Place the remote where it can measure a representative room temperature, following the placement instructions in your product manual.

02 / Built-In CO Monitoring

Alerts and automatic heater shutdown

Each of the three models includes a built-in carbon monoxide sensor.

The CO monitoring function provides an audible alert when the configured alarm threshold is reached and can automatically shut down a compatible heater when the configured shutdown threshold is reached.

Refer to the manual for your specific heater-and-remote combination for configuration, sensor placement and the correct response to an alarm.

Important safety information

The built-in monitoring function is an additional safety feature, not a guarantee of safety. It does not replace proper installation, ventilation, maintenance or a suitable independent CO alarm. Never ignore an alarm or restart the heater without investigating the cause and following the safety instructions.

03 / Smart Heater Control

Keep essential settings within reach

Adjust your heater without returning to the main control panel.

The R2605, R2603 and A2422 provide wireless access to essential heater controls, including power, operating modes and temperature or output-level adjustment.

Whether you are sitting at the table or settling into your sleeping space, the remote keeps everyday adjustments close at hand.

Available settings and operation depend on the paired heater and control panel. Check your product manual for the controls supported by your setup.

Which Sunster Remote Should You Choose?

The R2605, R2603 and A2422 share the same three core functions:

Core function R2605 R2603 A2422
Built-in ambient-temperature sensor Yes Yes Yes
Wireless thermostat control with a compatible heater Yes Yes Yes
Built-in CO monitoring Yes Yes Yes
CO alarm and automatic heater shutdown with a compatible setup Yes Yes Yes
Wireless heater control Yes Yes Yes

Shared features do not necessarily mean the remotes are interchangeable.

Before purchasing a replacement or additional remote, confirm your heater model, control panel and remote pairing requirements. If you are unsure, contact Sunster at cs@sunster.tech with your heater model and a photo of the control panel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the temperature sensor built into the remote?

Yes. All three models have an integrated temperature sensor that measures the ambient temperature around the remote.

Is the CO sensor built into the remote?

Yes. The R2605, R2603 and A2422 all include a built-in CO sensor.

Do these three remotes offer different core functions?

No. They share the same core functions: temperature sensing, CO monitoring and wireless heater control. Choose according to compatibility with your heater and control panel.

Can I use any of these remotes with any Sunster diesel heater?

Do not assume compatibility based on the shared functions. Confirm the correct remote for your heater and control panel before ordering.

What should I do if the CO alarm activates?
