Why Dual Brushless Motors Are the Future of Diesel Heaters

In a recent hands-on review, one creator ran full combustion tests on our Sunster TPBW all-in-one heater. His verdict on the technology inside it was simple: dual brushless is where heaters are going.

~25 ppm
CO at low power
~87%
Efficiency on low
~85%
Efficiency at max power

What the test showed

Running on low power, the heater held carbon monoxide at around 25 parts per million, comfortably inside the safe range, with a calculated efficiency of nearly 87%. Cranked up to maximum power, efficiency stayed around 85% while pushing out noticeably more warm air. And with the exhaust silencer screwed on, he found it genuinely quiet.

Why dual brushless is the big deal

With dual brushless motors, the burner and the blower are controlled separately. Better combustion control, steadier heat, and no carbon brushes wearing themselves out along the way.

“You get a lot more control, because you separate your burner and your blower. The ECU keeps the burner burning in the most efficient way possible, while you still adjust how much air blows through.”

Head-to-head on the bench: brushed vs dual brushless

An independent tester ran both versions in identical TB10 Pro housings, changing nothing but the motor, fan and ECU. Same shell, same fuel, same settings. Here is what the dual brushless version gained over the brushed one:

126 CFM
Airflow, up from 95 CFM on brushed
10 ppm
Less CO in the exhaust than brushed
4 dB
Quieter than brushed at max mode
Same draw
Power use identical to brushed at every speed

Already have a heater? Upgrade to dual brushless.

You do not need a whole new heater. Swapping the core parts is enough:
